You want to use less fuel, save money and impact on the environment. That means your hybrid running at its best. In city driving conditions, where the electric motor does most of the work, hybrid combustion engines run intermittently and at overall cooler temperatures. These are all challenging conditions as they can lead to fuel dilution and moisture build up in the engine oil, which in turn promotes oil degradation, sludge, corrosion and wear. The combustion engine will struggle to operate efficiently leading to increased fuel consumption.

Mobil 1™ 0W-20 has been proven to provide year-round performance and protection in hybrid engines. In a 120,000+km field test using two Toyota Prius taxis pushed to their limits daily in the cold and extreme heat, the oil demonstrated exceptional protection against deposit, sludge, and wear.

A field test was conducted with Mobil 1 0W-20 on Toyota Prius taxi vehicles operated day-in day-out over 120,000 km in cold and extreme hot weather conditions, as well as in mixed city, suburban and highway driving conditions. Periodic engine inspections demonstrated excellent protection against deposits, sludge, and wear despite the strenuous operating conditions and the accumulation of numerous stop-and-go events.

Periodic oil condition monitoring and engine inspections demonstrated that Mobil 1 0W-20 presents excellent resistance to thermal oxidisation and shearing, leading to excellent protection of the engine against wear and deposit build-up despite strenuous operating conditions and the accumulation of numerous stop-and-go events.
